Background of the Study
The integration of educational software in secondary schools has transformed the way students learn and interact with educational content. In Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau State, educational software has been increasingly introduced as part of efforts to enhance the teaching and learning process. Educational software can cover a wide range of applications, including tools for mathematics, science simulations, language learning, and exam preparation. This transition to digital learning environments offers unique advantages, such as accessibility to interactive content, personalized learning, and the ability to track and assess student progress in real-time (Umar & Yusuf, 2023).
Despite the potential benefits, the full adoption and utilization of educational software in secondary schools in Jos North remain a challenge. Issues such as inadequate infrastructure, lack of technical training for teachers, and limited access to devices have impeded its effective implementation (Oladele & Bala, 2024). The study will focus on secondary schools in Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau State, and will not include other regions in Plateau State or other educational levels. Limitations include the availability of resources, including devices and software, as well as teachers' willingness to adopt new technologies.
